A little bit of this, a little bit of that.

Since I'm so behind on blogging, I've got some random stuff that doesn't really fit anywhere, so here you go!

I had a really cool team building event at work where we made ceramics and then had a  "Dinner Experience" where all the foods either looked like something else or tasted totally different than what you would expect.
Yup, I made a mug. Pretty impressive.
Slooooooow cooked bacon. Over 2 weeks!!

That is salmon pate that looks like soap
This was a cup of hot water...
When you put a tea bag in, it becomes a tasty soup
This soup was really hot and when you squeezed the syringe
into it and the liquid became noodles. It was delicious!
I have to travel to Luxembourg pretty frequently and the walk between our buildings is really beautiful at night. Pictures don't really do it justice, but check out the way this reflection hits the water...

The great conker fight of 2014! The Hordley's introduced us to the game of Conkers (aka: buckeyes). You pick your conker, put a hole in it and then attach it to a string. Then the battle is on! Don was unsuccessful in his first match, but in fairness, Mike has many years of Conker Battles behind him.

Mike hitting Don's conker
The aftermath...
Row, row, row your boat!
Holden having a heart to heart...
Nothing says Conkers like an impromptu 80's party

Hockey is back!! We hopped a tram and went to check out Slavia vs. Sparta game at the O2 arena.

Huddled for warmth at the bus stop

Farmer's Market Fun with the Greenes! This market had the coolest fish stand - there was a huge tuna and a swordfish laying out and they would cut your steaks out right there. It was awesome.

Ahhh! It got me!
Pressing apple cider

It's sort of like my name, so I guess I can take it for a spin

Waiting for the metro home

Date night! We went to dinner at Bruxx, which is a great Belgian seafood restaurant and then some drinks after.

A pot of mussels - so good!

I wonder if we can link all the straws together and drink out of the bowl... Yup, we can!

Halloween weekend in the Czech Republic isn't really celebrated, so we just dressed up and went out for dinner, but the kids still had a blast. Ruth and Mike were away, so we enjoyed spending some time with Doreen, Jim and the kids.

Bus to dinner

Our favorite calamari at the Farmer's Market (missing you John Ross and Simon!!)
An ice cream break
The Hordley / Nisbet clan

And here are a bunch of random pics and videos, many of which I have no idea when I took them or where we were :)

After the the kids lost a balloon in the tree, Don and Mike went on a rescue mission.

This is a little older, but I couldn't resist. Hana and I thought Holden looked a little like Eminem, you be the judge (also, love Archie in this video).

5 kids hanging out on a bench

Show me your muscles!
Lounging
I love Lexi's expression here...
Sound asleep
Blue steel?
I love Czech food
Where did Lexi and Burke go?
You want to use the bathroom? What's the password?

It's starting to get a little chilly in Praha...
