When in Rome!

When we got back from the cruise, the kids started a week-long pony camp.

The next few weeks were some of the best since we've arrived in the Czech Republic, because Austin and Hannah came for a visit! The kids were so excited to see their cousins. They arrived on a Monday, shook off the jet lag and were ready to go explore.

picture in again...)

Looking stylish at James Deans'

Nap time!

We wanted to make the most out of a few weeks, so we took a surprise trip to Rome!

As soon as we arrived, we went out exploring.

Real Italian Gelato... it was soooo good!!
Enjoying the sites at the Square near our apartment

Day 2 we spent touring around the city, visiting the Colosseum and eating!

Time to go see some stuff!

First they wrestled inside...

Holden won with a single leg!

Don insisted on a rematch outside...

Holden wins again!

After a long day of sight seeing, we needed some Italian boxed wine :)

Back at the square, ready for some dinner

Our apartment was right next to the river with
lots of little restaurants and shops.

We loved watching this guy do spray paint art each night

It was such a great weekend and we LOVED Rome, but it was time to head back to Prague, so the kids got back on their suitcases for a ride back.

Back in Prague, Don and all the kids had a blast exploring Prague.

Bedtime stories
I can't remember where this was, but Don
came back with this picture from the toilet.
Looks like they forgot to finish it.

Rubbing a statue for luck

Authentic Czech Cuisine... Pork Knee
A little wrestling match (Hannah didn't stand a chance...)

Don & the kids took a trip about an hour north of Prague to TerezĂn where they visited a memorial at the site of a WWII concentration camp. They said it was unbelievably sad and described it as horrific, but were glad they made the trip and honored those who lost their lives.

As Austin and Hannah's time in Europe was coming to an end, we decided to go out for one last nice dinner at La Casa Argentina.

Carpaccio and Tartar

So that ends the cousin adventure in Europe. It was a great few weeks and we were sad to see them go!!

Up next... Don's adventure to Dublin...
